Street Lighting Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

• blockOperational oversight: Supervise day-to-day maintenance, structural & electrical testing and installation of street lighting columns, lanterns, and illuminated signs.
• blockSafety management: Enforce strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards across all live operational sites.
• blockContract delivery: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure work meets the requirements of the Haringey council contract.
• blockSite inspections: Conduct regular site checks, quality audits, and risk assessments to guarantee work complies with specifications.
• blockResource coordination: Allocate plant, materials, and labour efficiently to maximize daily productivity.
• blockClient relations: Work closely with Marlborough project managers and Haringey council engineers to update them on job progress.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• blockQualifications: Must possess valid G39 certification, SMSTS, and a current ECS card.
• blockExperience: Strong supervisory background in highways electrical or street lighting sectors, preferably working for a principal tier 1 or tier 2 contractor.
• blockTraffic management: Good working knowledge of Chapter 8 traffic management regulations for urban street works.
• blockDriving licence: Full, valid UK driving licence is essential.
• blockSkills: Strong leadership capabilities, problem-solving skills, and comfort using digital handheld devices to log and close jobs using Confirm and Exedra.
